Lode Barn

This Grade II listed Georgian coach house was in a state of quite substantial disrepair.  Andrew was project-manager from day one until the successful completion, some nine months later.

This project involved many disciplines: structural work, including the realignment of load-bearing wall; re-roofing using some of the existing purlins and trusses; the replacement of the Georgian sash windows; complete lime plastering of the internal walls and lime pointing work to the external walls.

Our commitment to conservation resulted in us providing nesting boxes for the Swifts that had been returning to the area annually for many years. We are very pleased that these nesting sites are in active use today. A conservation success story.
